What makes me the right person to help you?
Who am I and what do I do?
I am a the founder of the Yellow Fitness Group and creator of the HAPPY Formula
I work with men and women who have come to a crisis point in their lives and have suddenly woken up one day realising they are overweight, stressed, unhappy and unhealthy.
Typically professionals or business owners with families and who have spent most of the last 10 years putting other people first.
I have helped hundreds of people who hate gyms and struggle finding time or getting motivated, to look and feel amazing.
What makes me different to other trainers out there?
I understand what it means to juggle the demands of a busy life. As well as the Yellow Fitness Group I have a property development business and worked in commercial law until I moved to Liverpool. I know how to help YOU juggle the demands of your life.
I am the only personal trainer on Merseyside who also specialises in yoga and biomechanics, I understand that YOUR body is different to everybody else and will always ensure your training is appropriate and safe.
Your transformation goes much deeper than the physical, I will share with you my knowledge of the mind and its power and care deeply that every single person I work with make changes for life.
I know how to keep you motivated and guarantee your results or will personally give you your money back.
As a result of the HAPPY Formula my clients get back their energy and zest for life and find themselves living happier more fulfilling lives.
Why I decided to set up The Yellow Fitness Group
To explain to you why I set up The Yellow Fitness Group I want to tell you about my personal journey and why the Yellow Fitness Group is my dream.
My personal journey
As a teenager I enjoyed all sports and aspired to become a professional dancer. When I was turned down for a dance degree I embarked on a round the world trip that eventually took three years and spanned five continents. As it turned out it was the best thing that could have happened, I have no rhythm (ask anyone who knows me about my robot dancing) and hate performing.
During the first year of that trip I lost touch with my own fitness and gained a couple of dress sizes. Then I discovered Australia where sport and exercise are a way of life. I met yoga enthusiasts and eventually made my way to an Ashram where I lived and learned with monks. I found a whole new way of life and a philosophy that has guided me ever since.
When I returned to London I taught yoga and trained to teach other exercise classes, eventually qualifying as a personal trainer at the highest level.
I loved teaching but I needed another challenge so I embarked on a degree at Nottingham Law School. I was able to fund myself by teaching in local gyms, and I used my student loan to start a property business.
By 2007 I was working in a commercial law firm, surrounded by stressed, unhealthy, unhappy colleagues. I realised then that I could use my knowledge of health, fitness and well-being, to help people whose work/life balance had gone wrong.
I abandoned law, moved to Liverpool and started my first fitness business ‘Yellow Yoga’. It was a haven for stressed people who learnt that calmness, fitness and relaxation enhance both their working and their home lives. It was important to me that Yellow Yoga was different to the health chains I had been working in before – unpretentious and supportive, rather than intimidating and competitive. A number of my students are now teachers themselves and the business has gone from strength to strength, taking its message into businesses, schools and hospices.
In 2009 I was asked to teach yoga at Synergy Health Studios in Liverpool, which specialises in biomechanics and functional movement. I watched in awe as they enacted near miracles on clients who had lived with pain for years. Determined to learn more, I undertook specialist studies with Simon Whitnall and I found that applying the same principles to my own clients had astonishing results. I also began working with a holistic nutritionist who brought my awareness to a new level.
My clients were benefitting hugely from this accumulation of knowledge and experience, they were full of energy and zest for life and creating the bodies and health they dreamed of. In 2011 one of them challenged me to tackle the ‘Ironman’ with him. We both succeeded in swimming 3.2 miles, cycling 110 miles and running a marathon in a single day.
With this proof that the combination of mindset, nutrition and functional movement was a winning formula I decided I must share it with as many people as possible. So Yellow Yoga grew into Yellow Fitness Group.
The Yellow Fitness formula can be summed up as – A Healthy Active Physical Positive You -In other words the HAPPY formula.
It is my personal mission to share what I know with as many people as possible. I want you to know that you too can achieve whatever you set out to achieve and live a life that is HAPPY. I would love for you to join us on this journey and would be glad to speak to you and answer all your questions. You can also meet and talk to my clients who have been through the programme as they are always happy to share their own experience.
If you are ready to make major life changes then now is the time to take action.
