1 Healthy – eating the right foods . You wouldn’t put rubbish in your car and the same should apply to your body. Eat clean – look at the packet and don’t buy food full of preservatives, flavourings and emulsifiers. Those additives are just there to extend the shelf- life of the product -they don’t do anything for yours!
Top Tip – Pick one meal that you are going to take action on and for the next 5 days go for clean healthy eating .
2 Active – doing more than you do now. Up your activity by as little as 10% and you will see positive changes.
Top Tip – Park at the furthest end of the car park, walk up escalators and get off the bus or train a stop early.
3 Positive – using the mind to determine your success or failure. This is the key factor determining whether you live out your dreams or stay as you are, yet it is overlooked by the great majority of health and fitness professionals.
Top tip Take time to imagine how you’d feel if your goal was a reality right now.
4 Physical – working out effectively. Not all exercise is equal and it’s not as simple as burning more calories than you put in. If you do too much of anything your body gets used to it. The key to success is to vary your workouts.
Top tip - Make a point of changing your routine, speed, intensity or time.
5 You – tailoring your workout and nutrition plan just for you.
Top Tip Take advice on the right diet and activities for you. If you hate what you are eating and resent your exercise sessions you won’t be HAPPY and you won’t stick with them.
